Facilities Manager

Facilities Manager. We are seeking a Facilities Manager to join our team in our growing Developing and Manufacturing Plants in Santa Barbara/CA. The Facilities Manager will direct and coordinate all maintenance functions, including equipment maintenance and repair, facilities and utilities maintenance and act as contractor and vendor liaison. The facilities manager will also assist in defining, planning and executing the future facilities development strategy of the Company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on direction for all break-down and preventive maintenance of machines and utilities like air conditioning systems, electrical distribution systems, clean air and water purification systems and support the manufacturing floor, including clean rooms and chemical wet-etch rooms.
  • Work with management and prepare schedules and budgets for facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs.
  • Relocate or upgrade facilities for new production methods or expansion of production and be responsible and accountable to stay within the projections.
  • Select subcontractors, plan and coordinate their work minimizing production flow interruptions and monitor their activities to ensure on time execution.

Qualifications and Key Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • 7+ Years’ experience in a facilities and maintenance role.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including project management and cost containment, with the ability to work on multiple projects.
  • Experience in class 1000 clean room practices and protocols.
  • Experience with air handling, R0/DI water systems high and low voltage electrics, hydraulics, pneumatics and plumbing.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience working with state and local agencies related to submitting building permits and negotiating and executing incentive programs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally at all levels.
  • Computer proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) as well as understanding of AutoCAD, Blueprint Layout and Construction drawings required.
